Vanilla golden milk.

The fall season is approaching!

This is my go-to drink when I’m still hungry after dinner.  The warm/spiced drink never fails to calm me down and nourish my mind-body before sleeping.  I’m sure that it’s light enough to help you fall asleep and heavy enough to satisfy your hunger.

// ingredients (2-4 servings) //

1-1/2 cup unsweetened vanilla oat milk (or your choices of milk)

1/4 tsp vanilla extract

1 cup water (add milk if you want it creamy)

1 tsp ground turmeric

1/2 tsp cinnamon

1/4 tsp clove

1/4 black pepper

1 tbsp fresh ginger root (or 1 tsp ground ginger)

a pinch of sea salt

1-2 tsp raw honey

a pinch of ground cardamom (optional)

Blend all ingredients in a high-speed blender.  Pour the mixture into a small pot and heat it until hot, but not boiling.  Stir in honey and pour into a mug.  Serve.
